Mine started at 20 or 22 months? and 4 years old. My younger one is pretty wild so I was nervous about him, and would cinch his seatbelt VERY tight so he couldn't wiggle or if he thrusted out a bunch of times he wouldn't be able to stand/loosen it and had no problems. Actually it wasn't until closer to 2.5 where he decided to start throwing his head (with all his weight) over the side and I'd have to stay on the ready to counterbalance his weight pulling the bike that I had any issues lol but it was short lived and never anything to crazy, just unexpected the first couple times

I show it's adjustment in the babybjorn video where you see the wide teeth on the move so i think it would take a verrrryyy long time ot mess it up - salt of the sea would probably mess it up before sand; but it never got rusted for us over the years! I did always find the adjustment kind of "tight"/tricky though and ours was used for 1-2 kids before handed down to us

It's not your headphones! I have no idea what happened, i tried fixing it in editing but just had to go with it! Sorry! So I think timing is going to be the biggest factor in deciding on 2-3 year old kits -- e.g. someone asked me about the peak a zoo lock box individually vs the crate - if you are signing up for a new subscription with code TCM it's only $5 more to get the full crate vs the individual item in the store. Now if you are waiting until closer to the holidays, the store item will likely have a slight sale, so in that case i'd probably do that item from the store, but otherwise I'd take advantage of the new subscription thing! I do want to do an in-depth look at lovevery kiwico for the 2-3 range, but it will realistically take me until Sept/Oct to do that. I need to do the individual crates vs amazon first, then do the math on everything. Hope that was helpful in the meantime!

Such great points! I wholeheartedly agree on all your points! Especially on point 2, we've even hidden our TV behind the console once when my first was "getting lost" and we had to break TV with her. We've had MANY conversations with her about the effects of TV on our emotions, brains, and bodies and now at 5 she's great at self-regulating it. She'll even say "oh the TV is making me a little crazy!" haha and takes breaks from shows she notices are chanigng how she feels negatively. It's really inspiring. Seems like a great opportunity to dive into that discussion for parents and kids. I do think this whole "tricky topics" title of the series is a huge misnomer. Because, like you brought up here, it's not teaching how to deal with the trickiest of topics but leaving the parents (who may or may not have had time to do research/develop other ways of approaching situations) to have the post-book discussion (without any discussion points no less!) Which is fine, and should be happening anyway With all of that said, i do think they got it right in that these are *how* these tricky topics most often play out in the majority of families lives, and like you said and i said in that video, these books are not for everyone. They are a space for parents who are dealing with these tricky situations already so kids not dealing with them, aren't learning the behaviors. I think my emotions were definitely more caught up in the paci book, and since we always navigated the tricky topic of screens with confidence i didn't think too much into it, but your points definitely resonate!

In the past with others, ive changed the birthdate to line up where I want, emailed customer service, and even made other accounts with the birthdates I want. Just depends on the situation!

​@@Kay.D.N For Panda Crate you can see everything now on their website... That's what I show in this video. So you know what's shipping before it ships. You would have to email customer service to change a birthdate in advance probably. I've never changed a birthdate after a subscription started; I've skipped or asked for stuff at different times via customer service with others. This video is the most up to date with their changes and then i have a "how kiwico works" video that explains more in depth on the other lines, which you cannot see what you're getting until it ships unles you take advantage of the "start with this crate"

I just hope they give you a heads up before it ships of what crate you’re getting so you can skip if need be. I know there’s times we don’t need more toys with similar purposes 🙃

depends on how i've packed it! For flights, I'll sit the really big water bottle (shown around 6 min in the side pocket) inside the top flap area horizontally, and that weighs the top to fall forward, as long as i dont put something crazy bulbous like that and overstuff the bag it 90% of the time stands upright on it's own with no issues of toppling. I haven't unpacked my travel bag from out last trip and i can try to post a video on Instagram today @theconfusedmom of what I mean!

It really is family/child dependent! We used a puddle jumper with my first. And I do like them for the ocean because instead of holding her, I could hold the pull string on the puddle jumper to keep her close, while still letting her explore. Puddle jumpers though aren't necessarily the safest and can give kids a false sense of confidence in swimming. So for some kids I would never recommend them. She was always very aware she needed that and us still and never tried to wiggle out. Life jackets that hook under the groin are the only ones i like for being *in* water, otherwise they push up over the chin too much for kids and they dont understand floating on their back to breathe and it's a whole thing worth avoiding. We also LOVE floats and use them all the time. For 18 months, the baby float i think i show in this video is my go to rec. My son would never go in anything though other than a regular old tube float that big kids/adults use. So we get a bunch of the tiny ones from dollar tree once he was about 2, or I'd get a big one for me, and sit him on my stomach and share it with him otherwise we'd hold him
